About Brubaker & Co.
Brubaker & Co. Portraiture began in early 2009 when we setup a booth on Alberta Street in Northeast Portland and shot Polaroid portraits of strangers during the Last Thursday street festivities. Last Thursdays evolved into street fairs, street fairs into gallery openings, happenings, ongoings and celebrations of all sorts. We've taken the booth throughout the area, shooting everyone from the mayor of Portland to the contestants at the Vernonia Friendship Jamboree and Logging show.
Street exposure led to commissions for band portraits, artist bios, film stills and various other projects. We now provide on-location portrait sittings for those interested in an image shot in a classic photographic format.
